THEATRE: Tess of the D’Urbervilles@Arley Hall, Thurs, Aug 28

20/ 8/2008

WATCHING an open-air spectacular of Thomas Hardy’s much loved novel Tess of the D’Urbervilles sounds like a great way to make the most of the dwindling summer.

The sweeping romance and tragedy of the classic tale lends itself perfectly to the beautiful open air setting of Northwich’s Arley Hall and Walled Gardens.

The production is being staged by Theatreworks, a company rapidly gaining national recognition for its work transferring some of the world’s most popular novels to the stage.

It most recently received great acclaim for another Hardy classic, Far from the Madding Crowd.

Show-goers are invited to bring their own food and beverages, and rugs and low-back seating are recommended. The performance will start at 7pm.

Ticket prices start at £12 for adults and £5 for children.

For more information call 01565 777 353.
