Cops slammed over Facebook murdererPolice have been slammed over their handling of the ‘Facebook fugitive’ case where a man brutally murdered his girlfriend.Clare Wood met George Appleton via an internet dating service, but did not know he had served three jail terms for harassing and assaulting two previous partners. Clare’s strangled and burned body was found at her home in Salford in February last year.
